Wrap Your Arms Around Reading

The Picard Center is proud to announce the beginning of a new program, Wrap Your Arms Around Reading, lead by Dr. Paula Zeanah, which will be open to community participants. Learn how early reading with your baby increases your responsiveness to his or her early development, promotes closer bonds between you and your infant, and prepares him or her for the basics of reading—sounds, words, and listening.

Wrap Your Arms Around Reading consists of three group sessions emphasizing early communication, parent responsiveness, and strategies to develop and enhance early reading experiences. Snacks will be provided, and each parent and infant will receive a book to take home at each session.

Who can attend?

  • Parents and their infants less than 2 months of age
  • Interested parents who are expecting to deliver within a few weeks of program start may also attend.
