Center Duties:
Responsible for assisting Picard Center staff with the collection, management, and reporting of education-related information such as: defining data elements/indicators and developing user guides/dictionaries. Assists in reviewing and verifying data collected by the Center for validity and accuracy. Assists in defining, comparing, presenting and recommending the implementation of specific data collection activities and educational research approaches and in the design, development, and maintenance of computerized databases. Assists with designing and identifying measurements standards which are used in reporting of departmental projects; helps conduct training of staff about department data collection and procedures; researches, designs, and evaluates current and long-range plans for data collection procedures.
Professional Background:
Brandon has 12 years of experience in data analysis and information systems. He first began his career as a Project Coordinator at Northwestern State University in the School of Social Sciences. He later moved to Lafayette, starting a job at Stuller, Inc., where he served as an Information Specialist. Prior to coming to the University, Brandon served as a Crime Analyst, Information Systems Computer Technician, and Information Systems Assistant Manager for nearly seven years at the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's office. In 2017, Brandon began working at the University as a Decision Support Analyst and, currently, as a Data Coordinator for the Picard Center.
