The primary goal of the study is to examine the prevalence of legalized gambling, its patterns in Louisiana, and the demographic or sociocultural characteristics of potential problem or pathological gamblers. The report provides information on the magnitude of problem and pathological gambling in Louisiana, as well the available services and the state’s capacity to meet the needs of the at-risk population.
