Classroom and theater seating are preferred seating options due to the 6ft. social distancing rule required to meet COVID-19 safety standards.

The Picard Center has 42 tables and 250 chairs for your use. If you require other furniture, please ask about rentals.

Food & Drink


All Events serving food and/or drink require a security deposit. See Venue Agreement for details.

Note: A university police officer will need to be secured for events serving alcohol. Please complete and submit a “University Police Security Form” to the Picard Center and the UL Lafayette Police Department.

The UL Lafayette ACEs Task Force

The UL Lafayette ACEs Task Force is an interdisciplinary group of professionals who recognize and respond to the impact of trauma and adversity on learning and health within the University and the Acadiana region and will create a trauma-informed community through education research, policy and advocacy.

Mentoring for HOPE

UL Lafayette's Cecil J. Picard Center for Child Development & Lifelong Learning is collaborating with the Department of Counselor Education and The Family Tree to study the impact of family reunification and mentoring programs offered to incarcerated mothers.
