Please join us for an innovative and scholarly lecture on the health of women and children by Dr. Qamar Rahman. Dr. Rahman, Dean of Research and Science and Technology and a research professor in chemical engineering at Amity University in Lucknow, India, is an expert in inhalation toxicology, especially of nano particles and asbestos. Her talk will focus on home and occupational threats to the lung health of women and children in India and the developing world.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and the Picard Center will host a symposium on Anti-Bullying. Parents, educators, administrators, and children are all welcome to attend. The Picard Center will offer babysitting services for your children in the Child & Family Resource Library. The topics that will be discussed at the symposium will be geared towards teens and pre-teens. The symposium will be held Saturday, October 21st from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. There are still spots available, so please be sure to join us!

Principal Investigator Kara Farmer-Primeaux, Outstanding Achievement in Externally-Funded Research for 2019-20 and 2020-21 recognizing her award of more than $1 million dollars in externally sponsored projects in Fiscal Years 2020 and 2021.
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette honored faculty Feb. 11 during an annual ceremony for research excellence. Faculty from each college along with research staff were recognized during the Research Recognition Ceremony at the LITE Center.
